Occupational therapy is a licensed healthcare service that helps children build the skills they need to function successfully in everyday life—at home, at school, and in the community.
At Ready for Action Therapy, services are provided by a licensed occupational therapist with advanced training in neuroscience, child development, sensory processing, and movement-based intervention.
We focus on how the brain and nervous system develop and adapt—addressing the underlying systems that drive regulation, behavior, and performance, not just the surface-level challenges.
How this is different:
Coaching focuses on behavior and performance
Physical therapy focuses on strength and mobility
Occupational therapy addresses how the brain, body, and nervous system work together to support real-life function
Our approach helps children build the internal capacity for regulation, confidence, and independence—not just short-term behavioral change.

Ready for Action Therapy is a specialized, movement-based pediatric occupational therapy practice that helps kids build confidence, regulation, coordination, and real-world skills.
Instead of working only in a clinic, we use real-world environments—like parks, trails, and climbing gyms—so kids can learn through action in meaningful, engaging ways.
This approach is intentional and grounded in neuroscience, child development, and how the nervous system organizes through movement and real-world challenge.
Sessions are led by a licensed occupational therapist with a background in exercise science, outdoor leadership, and advanced training in sensory processing, nervous system regulation, and functional movement.
This combination is uncommon—and allows us to do something different:
Create the right level of physical and emotional challenge
Support regulation in real time, not after the fact
Build skills in environments where they actually matter
Rather than relying on repetitive exercises or controlled clinic settings, we use dynamic, real-world environments to challenge coordination, regulation, and problem-solving in ways that translate directly to everyday life.
This is why we often see deeper, more meaningful change—
not just improved skills, but kids who feel more confident, more regulated, and more capable in their daily lives. -
If you’ve been feeling unsure how to best support your child, you’re not alone.
Your child may benefit if they:
Struggle with focus, attention, or staying on task
Get overwhelmed easily or have big emotional reactions
Have difficulty with coordination, balance, or body awareness
Avoid physical challenges or seem less confident than peers
Need support following directions or building independence
Our approach is especially helpful for kids who learn best through movement, hands-on experiences, and real-world challenges.
